SLSV is dedicated to empowering young voters, particularly young Black women under 30. Black women have become vital surrogates for encouraging civic engagement and mobilizing their communities and networks to vote. Our organization uses our extensive intergenerational network to identify women across the country, uniquely engaging with them, and empower them with tools to expand their work within their communities. We focus heavily on empowering local leaders to increase engagement in both federal and down-ballot state races. SLSV is dedicated to identifying, engaging, and empowering the next generation of Black women with the tools and tactics to expand their ability to mobilize and turnout their communities.
